Basmati Rice

Side for all dinners — cooked separately in a pot.

  1. Rinse rice in cold water until water runs mostly clear.
  2. Combine rice, water, salt, and butter in a pot. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to lowest setting, cover tightly, and cook 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, keep lid on, and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
