Basmati Rice
Side for all dinners — cooked separately in a pot.

Ingredients
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 3 cups water
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp butter or oil (optional)
Steps

Rinse rice in cold water until water runs mostly clear.

Combine rice, water, salt, and butter in a pot. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to lowest setting, cover tightly, and cook 15 minutes.

Remove from heat, keep lid on, and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
